AAplus

On 1 of the 170 extensions it prices, yes — 1% of its own list. On the rest something else is cheaper, which is true of every registrar here. There is no single cheapest one.

It varies by extension, and the renewal is the number that matters more than the first year. Every row above shows what Aplus charges to register and to renew, with the five-year total beside it.

Sometimes not. The 'Best anywhere' column shows the cheapest five-year cost across all tracked registrars, so where it undercuts the '5 years here' figure, moving the name saves that difference.

Aplus's own published price list, read automatically and rebuilt every morning. Nothing here is supplied by Aplus and nothing about this page changes where it appears in any table.

Aplus is an accredited registrar selling to the public at published prices, which is the bar for inclusion here. What varies between registrars is not safety but renewal pricing, transfer fees and whether WHOIS privacy costs extra.

The WHOIS privacy column on the table above answers this per extension. It is a paid add-on at some registrars and free at others, and it quietly changes which one is actually cheapest.

Yes, if the name is at least 60 days old, unlocked, and you have the auth code from your current registrar. The transfer adds a year at Aplus's transfer price, which is the column beside each renewal above.

On most extensions, yes — that is true of nearly every registrar. Both numbers are shown on every row above so the gap is visible before you buy rather than a year afterwards.
